Happy to announce that as of 11/08/2008, the matching grant for both Tables and Circles from the Foundation and Trust has been increased to Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lacs Only).

If the cost of your project (both FTE and non-FTE) is over Rs. 2,00,000/- (Rupees Two Lacs), you are eligible for a Rs. 1,00,000/- matching grant in total from the Round Table Foundation and Trust.  Start looking out for worthy projects.

Encourage your non-LMF friends to become LMF.

Area AGM

Friends,

We had a brilliant Area AGM on the 16th August 2008 with over 450 registrants in attendance.  The business session saw lot of effective deliberation.  Had a blast at the party that night.

RTI President Tr. Pranay joined us for the Awards Ceremony on Sunday morning.

This will be my last official post as the Moderator of the Group.  Chairman Viji will announce the Moderator of the BLOG shortly.  Learnt a lot with this experience.

Audited Accounts

Dear Friends,

Please click Audited Accounts to view the Balance Sheet and Statement of Income and Expenditure of RTI Area 7 for the Tabling Year 2007-2008.  I would like to thank our Auditors Sq. Leg. P. Sivarajan of PRT-81 for auditing the accounts.  The Annual Report will be sent out by post latest by tomorrow, ahead of the deadline which is the 1st of August 2008.  Vibgyor has been printed and will be posted along with the Annual Report to save on postage costs.

I would like to thank the Editor – Vibgyor, Tr. Jyothish N. Pillai for bringing out a beautiful and colorful issue of Vibgyor.  I would also like to thank the Secretary / Treasurer, RTI Area 7, Tr. TK. Rajesh for bringing out the Annual Report on time and is packed with information.

Guys,

We have a new RTI President – Tr. Pranay Trivedi of SMART118. Tr. Ajay Handa and Cr. Mona Sanghavi invested their President’s Jewel on Tr. Pranay Trivedi and Cr. Uma Raghuram last night at a glittering function yesterday.

We had 5th NEX here at Hyderabad at The Marriott.  The NEX started of around 11:30 and had a crisp presentation of activities of RTI for the year by NST Tr. Himanshu Gupta.  As part of the RTI Handbook Update, the NEX passed 17 motions not affecting the Constitution.  NST Tr. Manish Bhanushali will be circulating the motions to the Tables during the last weekend of July.  Outgoing President AJay showered praises on his board.

Prez Pranay announced that the theme for the year will be We Make The Difference and Cr. Uma announced her theme to be Circle of Life.

Please join me in welcoming Area 7 Tablers Tr. Satish Balagopal as the Editor – Table Talk, Tr. VIkram Mohan – Mass Tour Convenor, Tr. H. Vijayanth – Chairmen Elect RTI Area 7, and I – Commitee Member, RTI Handbook Update into the NEX 2008-2009.

Retirements

The classiest thing in Round Table to me is the decision to retire Tablers at 40.   (I might feel differently in 2010).  Almost every Tabler when we meet after retirement feels the same way.  This is the philosophy that makes the movement a vibrant one.  The tabulation below are the Tablers that have retired on 30/06/2008.  I was fortunate to know all of them and some of them very well.  RTI and every Tabler of RTI Area 7 joins me in wishing you and your family a very happy and purposeful life.  We look forward to seeing you at our Table meetings and other events.
